Our clients were looking for a custom kitchen renovation Mitcham. This included reconfiguration of their kitchen and living area to achieve an open plan that worked well for their young growing family. In addition to this we created custom joinery for the ensuite and laundry and managed the entire renovation with a full team of trades supporting us on this project.
Working with their vision, our designer created a new galley style floor plan for the kitchen. Taking advantage of the great existing windows, this orientation worked well in creating the best flow of space between the kitchen and dining room, and we were able to incorporate the cooktop using a downdraft rangehood to ensure clean minimalist lines.
In collaboration with Rhys, our Building Manager, we were able to open the wall using arched openings (to work with a structural wall) and level the original sunken lounge. New timber hybrid flooring in a herringbone pattern was laid during this process. New storage was installed in the front entrance, which is a fantastic solution for shoes, whilst being consistent with the theme of the design using arched forms and the same woodgrain finish used in the front of the island bench and as a feature in the bar.
